Short course Atomic Layer Deposition
A short course on Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) offers an introduction into ALD by providing the basics of ALD, giving an overview of the applications of ALD and describing why ALD has become so important in recent years. This course is open to people who are relatively new to the field of ALD, such as students and technologists and other people that work – or are planning to work – on ALD but who have limited knowledge of the technology. On Thursday 20 April this one-day course will take place at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Speakers include Prof. Gregory Parsons (North Carolina State University) and Prof. Erwin Kessels (Eindhoven University of Technology). This course takes place in conjunction with the 2nd Area Selective Deposition workshop (ASD 2017), which will be held on 21 April 2017 in Eindhoven.
Grand opening NanoAccess Lab TU/e
The new NanoAccess Lab at Eindhoven University of Technology will open this Wednesday 9 November. This grand opening of the NanoAccess Lab starts at 16.00 hrs and includes a lab tour and reception. A technical event has been scheduled at 14.30-16.00 hrs to inform visitors working at SMEs as well as academic and industrial research centers. Visitors interested in the lab tour and/or the technical event are requested to register.
NanoAccess provides a cluster of interconnected ultra-high-vacuum chamers hosting state-of-the-art nanofabrication and characterisation tools focusing on ultrathin films. Application areas range from 'Green ICT' (energy efficient future electronics) to smart mobility, and drom materials for sustainable energy to high-tech systems. NanoAccess has been realised with frinancial support form TU/e, NWO, by an NWO Large investment grant, and NanoLabNL. External users from SMEs, industrial or academic research centers are welcome to use the system for their research and development. Read more about NanoAccess Lab at Einhoven University of Technology.
