Enabling your R&D in nanotechnology
Providing an open-access infrastructure for R&D in nanotechnology
NanoLabNL is a Dutch national facility for nanotechnology research. Since 2004 we have been offering the use of our facilities and expertise to universities, research institutes, start-ups and industry on 4 locations in the Netherlands (Delft, Eindhoven, Groningen and Twente).
The NanoLabNL facilities are an important link in the innovation process from basic idea to product. In this role NanoLabNL supports fundamental research, process and product development and, to some extend, small-scale production.
How to use our facilities?
Given the broad range of facilities and expertise within NanoLabNL, there is no single guideline for access and use, but the following options are possible:
- Direct access to our facilities with your own operator (once authorised after instruction/training)
- Direct access with a dedicated operator from NanoLabNL / another company
- Use of facilities within research projects

It is possible to use our equipment for short-, mid- and long-term research projects.
Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your technological issues and /or the available options for the facilities you are interested in.
Equipment within NanoLabNL
You can find all of our equipment in our database (on the left). In this database you can search by location, process and sub-process. If you have any questions about our facilities, please don't hesitate to contact one of our representatives. If you have a general question, please contact Melvin Kasanrokijat, programme director NanoLabNL program office (STW).
Basic and expert technologies
Each of the NanoLab NL locations offers a range of basic and expert technologies. The basic technologies provide a general infrastructure suitable for common nanofabrication activities with a geographical barrier as low as possible. The expert technologies are unique facilities and/or expertise you aren't likely to find anywhere else in the country.
Network event: open innovations in nano- and microtechnology
State-of-the-art infrastructure forms a fundamental base for innovation in micro- and nanotechnology research. Recently, the University of Twente has made huge steps in reinforcing the high quality facilities. Investing in open-access infrastructure to the brightest minds in research and commercialization is crucial for our competitive position and contributes to the innovation goals of the Dutch topsectors HTSM and Chemical Industry.
The University of Twente has a lot to celebrate: anniversary of the Nanolab, the recent financial contribution from the Toekomstfonds of the ministry of Economic Affairs, and being awarded the iLab label for the High Tech Factory.
On behalf of MESA+ and High Tech Factory, we would like to invite you for the festive celebration on 14 September 2016. With an exciting line-up, we hope to inspire you with research and company demonstrators, novel scientific insights and facilitate a fruitful discussion on collaboration opportunities.
